Claims Executive - Lawyer
We are looking for a shipping lawyer to join our Charterers and Traders Claims team. The position is at Gard’s head office in Arendal, Norway.
Charterers and Traders is a product based claims team that handles P&I as well as Defence cases and is administered together with Gard’s Defence global group. Previous experience with claims handling for commodities companies is advantageous although not required.
Gard is a market leader in offering cover for commodities traders, investment banks, oil companies, and other stakeholders in the market sector. Charterers and Traders lawyers are engaged in handling claims, advising members and clients and they manage external lawyers engaged on complex litigation and large claims work. The Charterers and Traders claims team cooperates closely with the specialist underwriting team and clients in this sector. In addition to strong legal skills, the successful candidate will possess a commercial approach to dispute resolution.
